Trichology is the branch of dermatology dedicated to the study of diseases that can affect hair. It has its own techniques, such as trichoscopy (seeing the enlarged hair and scalp), trichogram and phototrichogram (allows the assessment of the phase of the cycle the hair is in, thickness and growth) and others common to dermatology, such as skin biopsy.
